Seaside Park, NJ

Emil W. Stefanacci, 86, of Seaside Park, New Jersey, passed away on March 11, 2026. Born in Passaic, New Jersey, he lived there until moving to Seaside Park in 2000. A graduate of St. Mary High School in Rutherford, he served honorably in the United States Army.

Emil worked as a Marketing Manager for ITT in Nutley, New Jersey, until his retirement. A longtime parishioner of St. Catharine’s Roman Catholic Church in Seaside Park, he was also an active member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge, and Elks club. Above all, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and trusted friend to many.

He was predeceased by his parents, Emil and Angela, and his niece Lisa Stefanacci. Emil is survived by his wife of 63 years, Virginia (née Lydon); his sister-in-law, Cathy Stefanacci; his sons, Emil and his wife Kelly, and Mark; his beloved niece Jean Marie Caboy and her husband Kevin; his grandchildren Patrick, Megan, Angela, and Marco; and his grandniece Lily.

Emil cherished time with his family and welcomed everyone into his home with warmth and generosity, always ensuring no glass went empty. An avid sportsman since his high school days, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating with his loved ones. He was a dedicated fan of Notre Dame football and rarely missed a game. For many years he brought Christmas joy to children and adults alike by portraying Santa Claus, often making multiple appearances each December, and he faithfully lit the Christmas tree in Seaside Park every year.
