Born on June 23, 1955, in Perry County, Kentucky, he spent many years as a deep-sea fisherman, a calling that reflected his deep connection to nature.
Elvis cherished time with his family above all, sharing laughter, warmth, and unwavering generosity. Known for his big heart and radiant smile, he was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back. He found joy in simple pleasures, playing Bingo and cards, bowling, attending the races at the Kentucky Derby and the Oaks, and sharing quiet moments in the outdoors through hunting and fishing. A man of faith, he loved the Lord and treasured every opportunity to be with those he held dear.
He is survived by his daughters, Joni (Kevin) House and Shannon Allen; sons, Jeremiah J. Combs, Johnnie L. Combs, and Joshua Burkhead; twin sister, Connie Stivers; sisters, Mary J. (Jerry) Boucher and Rita (Arthur) Veda Cash; and grandchildren, Isaiah M. McDowell, Elayna Combs, and Tristan Combs.
Elvis was preceded in death by his parents, Truman and Ollie (Sizemore) Combs; son, Justin A. Combs; brother, Ralph Coda and his wife Barb; sisters, Armina Cole and Zola Lee; and grandchild, Nevaeh Combs. He will be remembered for the love he gave so freely and the lasting memories he created with family and friends.
