Elvin A. Stewart Jr.

Elvin A. Stewart Jr., affectionately known to family and friends as Bud, Buddy, or Budward, passed away on March 6, 2026, in Jamestown, New York, at the age of 76. Born on October 12, 1949, in West Virginia, he carried a deep passion for music throughout his life, playing in bands and sharing countless jam sessions with friends and family. He also found joy in reading books and watching films, particularly those featured in film festivals.

He is survived by his brother, Bob Stewart, and Bob’s wife, Marge; his children, Aaron A. Stewart and his spouse Brittney Senske, Erica Hendrickson and her spouse Aaron Hendrickson, Jessica Riddle, and Ryan Murray; and his grandchildren: Serenity, Castiel, and Laila Stewart; Mikelle Davis, Nicholas Elardo, Erinlynn, Aniah, and Aaron Hendrickson II; and Gus and Lily Riddle.

Elvin was preceded in death by his parents, Ida May Stewart and Elvin A. Stewart Sr.; his wife, Mary Jean Stewart; his brothers, Donald Stewart and John Taylor; and his sisters, Cathy Solock and Linda Stewart. He will be remembered for his love of music and the warmth with which he shared it with everyone around him.
