Elman Otis McGlasson

E. O. "Mac" McGlasson, age 95, passed away on March 8, 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on April 28, 1930 in Moline, Kansas, Mac served in the Air Force during the Korean War and shared 66 loving years of marriage with his wife Betty before her passing in 2018.

Well known in the Ashland City community, Mac owned a local grocery store and later worked at State Industries and Walmart. A friendly and personable man, he genuinely loved connecting with others. He was also a skilled gardener who took great pleasure in growing vegetables to share with family, friends, and neighbors. His life of kindness, warmth, and faith left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jo (Freeman) McGlasson; his parents, W. H. McGlasson and Cora Dolly McGlasson; his brothers, John (Paulette) McGlasson and Delbert McGlasson; his sister, Nedra Giles; his brother-in-law, Larry Trotter; his sister-in-law, Pat McGlasson; his son Michael McGlasson; and his grandson, Marshal McGlasson.

Mac is survived by his brothers, Robert McGlasson of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Carl McGlasson of Overbrook, Kansas; his sister, Dixie Trotter of Winfield, Kansas; and his sister-in-law, Diane McGlasson of Kilgore, Texas. He is also survived by his children, Bruce McGlasson and Linda Foster; his foster son, Billy Miller; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
