Ellen L. O'Leary

Ellen L. O’Leary, of Bridgewater, passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 84. She lived in Mission Hill and Quincy before making her home in Bridgewater many years ago. A longtime and devoted parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Ellen found joy in crafting, playing Words with Friends, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her deep devotion to family, her warm sense of humor, and her friendly, welcoming nature.

She was the beloved wife of 52 years to Thomas E. O’Leary of Bridgewater. Ellen was the devoted mother of Theresa Marchetti of Florida, James Lavin and his wife Noemia of Oxford, Dawn Lucas and her late husband Jeffrey of Taunton, and the late Victor O’Leary and his widow Cindy of Bridgewater. She was the cherished Gigi of 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was the loving sister of Donna Fritsch and her husband Guenther of New Jersey and the late Robert, Roger, and John Dean. She leaves behind multiple generations of nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.
