Ellen J. (Turley) Groff

Ellen J. (Turley) Groff, 81, of Jackson Township, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Born on October 14, 1944, to the late Elmer and Georgia Hazel Turley, Ellen built a successful career in real estate, beginning at Crookston Realty and retiring after more than 20 years as a dedicated realtor. She found great joy in tending her yard and spending time outdoors.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ed Turley, and her sister, Betty English. Ellen is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Lawrence “Larry” Groff; her son, Travis (Aubrey) Groff; her grandson, Tyler Groff; her brother, Bob Turley; her sisters-in-law, Patricia and Becky; and many nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered for her steadfast devotion to family and the quiet pleasures she found in the natural world around her.
