Elizabeth Wolfe

We are sad to announce that on March 5, 2026, at the age of 98, Elizabeth Wolfe of Mount Vernon, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Pospisil and Marie Pospisil; her husband John Wolfe; her son Steven; and her siblings, Agnes, Stell, Eleanor, Mary, Philip, Joseph, Robert, Paul and Helen.

She is survived by: her children, Barb Wolfe of Durango, Tom Wolfe of Mount Vernon, Joe Wolfe (Kelli) of Mount Vernon, Patrick Wolfe of Mount Vernon, Andy Wolfe (Anissa) of Mount Vernon, Mary Morningstar (Doug) of Lisbon and Susie See (Chris) of Mount Vernon. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (212 7th St SE, Mt Vernon, IA 52314). A vigil service will be held on Sunday, March 15th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM and at 3:00 PM at the St. John's Cemetery - Lisbon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial donations to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Southeast Linn Community Center, or Hospice of Mercy.
