Elizabeth P. (Morris) Haight

Elizabeth P. (Morris) Haight, 69, of Southbridge, passed away on March 10th at Mass General Hospital in Boston. Born in Los Angeles, California, she was the daughter of George Lawrence and Pauline Hariette (Fortin) Morris.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, John “Jack” Haight, who passed away in 2021. Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Enrique Polletta and his partner Arlynn, and Anthony Polletta and his wife Amy; her daughter, Angela Penny; her stepchildren, Jesse Carmichael and his wife Nicole, and Matthew Haight and Carrie Marks; her sisters, Kat and Cindy; and her grandchildren, Dominic, Mia, Gracie, Wyatt, Madison, Adeline, Anthony, and Jack.

Known affectionately as NeNe to her grandchildren, Elizabeth was the heart of her family and the very definition of unconditional love. Her grandchildren were the lights of her life, and she created magical moments with them through simple joys like ice cream, chocolate milk, and stories of fairies and faraway lands. A devoted mother, she was always present to cheer on her children, believe in them, and remind them they were loved. Beautiful, vibrant, and full of life, she loved to dance and left behind cherished memories that will be treasured by all who knew her.
