Elizabeth Mills

Elizabeth (Liz) Mills, 42, passed away surrounded by her loving family after a prolonged battle with pneumonia. Born into a large and close-knit family that included her dear twin sister and five brothers, Liz faced significant health challenges throughout much of her life, including a serious auto-immune disease that weakened her in her final eight years and limited many of the activities she once enjoyed.

She will be remembered for her carefree and loving spirit, her generosity, and her gracious nature. Liz had a deep affection for animals and cared for many pets over the years, yet her greatest love was reserved for her daughter, Audrey, with whom she created countless cherished memories. Family and friendships brought her profound joy and remained central to her life.

She is survived by her parents, Joe and Debbie Roney of Des Moines; her daughter, Audrey Mills of New Palestine, Indiana; her twin sister, Sarah (Harold) Otis of Clive; her brothers, Joe (Brenda) Roney of Des Moines, Caleb (Adrienne) Roney of Des Moines, Stephen (Ashley) Roney of Cumming, David (Sarah) Roney of Windsor Heights, and Benjamin (Mariana) Roney of Tampa, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
