She is survived by: her husband James McDowell of Sardis, MS; her daughter Harper Elizabeth McDowell of Sardis, MS; her siblings, Sue Boyd of Atoka, TN, Joan Preslar of Colorado Springs, CO, Dr. Edwin Dawkins of Oxford, MS, Jimmy Dawkins of Sardis, MS, Jerry Dawkins of Sardis, MS and Tommy Dawkins of Sardis, MS; and her aunt Dot Aldridge (James Harold).

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sardis Church of Christ (414 E Lee St, Sardis, MS 38666). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
