Elizabeth Eaton ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Bernhardt Funeral Home - Ellijay on Mar. 17, 2026.Elizabeth May Eaton, age 81, of Cartersville, Georgia, formerly of Copperhill, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026.Born on October 11, 1944, in Copperhill, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Sweed and Annie Mae Lowery Rymer. Elizabeth devoted her life to her family and home. A talented interior decorator with a wonderful eye for beauty, she also loved spending time outdoors caring for her yard. She was known for her delicious home-cooked meals and the joy she took in gathering family and friends around her table. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (Steve) Hoyle of Columbus, GA, and Michelle (BJ) Bush of Chatsworth, GA; brothers, Larry Rymer and Van (Joann) Rymer; sisters, Mary Margaret Baker of Blue Ridge and Katy (Robert) Standridge of Chatsworth, GA. She is also survived by three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Mt. Liberty Baptist Church, with Rev. Kenny O'Neal officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Music will be provided by the O'Neal family.Pallbearers will include Caden Bush, Stephen Hoyle, Richard Rymer, Eugene Rymer, James Rymer, Jessie Rymer, Chad Rymer, and Craig O'Neal. Mrs. Eaton will lie in state at Mt. Liberty Baptist Church from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.Flowers will be accepted or the family would appreciate any donations toward her service to be made out to the Bernhardt Funeral Home @163 River St Ellijay GA 30540.Bernhardt Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Memorial DonationTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
