Born on January 16, 1943, in Acworth, Georgia to the late Lee and Alice Whitten.Elizabeth approached every day with the enthusiasm of someone who believed the next great adventure was just around the corner. Whether it was through the heavenly indulgence of a good meal or the hopeful scratch of a lottery ticket, each day was met with expectancy and excitement. She had the curious habit of seeking photographs of everyone dear to her-a hobby that would become a precious archive of countless treasured moments for her family and friends.She had an affinity for the purity of white roses. Her hands were always busy with crafts and she especially found joy in painting bird houses. Most of all she loved her family and the time she got to spend with them.She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Parmer; sister, Betty Mathis; and brother, John Whitten.Elizabeth is survived by her children, Dwayne Thompson (Evelyn), Billy Thompson and Faye Morgan; sister, Linda Martin (Billy); sister-in-law, Martha Whitten; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; as well as other family and friends.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ken May officiating.Sosebee Funeral Home, Canton, GA is honored to serve the family of Elizabeth Marie Parmer.
