Elizabeth M. Davey

Elizabeth M. Davey

Ludlow, MA

Elizabeth M. (Kelley) Davey, born on June 21, 1927, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, at the age of 98. She was the beloved daughter of the late John J. and Mary Agnes (Kennedy) Kelley, and a cherished sister to her late brothers Milton and Jack Kelley. Elizabeth shared a devoted marriage of 70 years with her husband, the late Gordon Davey, until his passing in 2018. Together they raised a loving family, including their children Joan Hodgkins and her husband Fred, James Davey and his wife Beverly, Elizabeth Figlioli and her husband Vito, and their devoted daughter Mary Beth Kelley.

Elizabeth was a woman of many talents and quiet joys. A talented actress, she performed in numerous local playhouses, including the Homesteaders, and found creative fulfillment through painting. She was an avid golfer and bowler, and an enthusiastic card player who particularly loved pitch and blackjack. For thirty years she and Gordon enjoyed their winters as “Snowbirds” in Fort Myers, Florida, where she cherished the warmth and beauty of the ocean.

Her greatest legacy lives on through her grandchildren—Dan Hodgkins and his wife Collin, Tracie Mastorakis and her husband Ron, Joshua Davey and his wife Christy, Kelsey Davey, Victoria and Nicholas Figlioli—and her great-grandchildren: Alex and Sam Lamarche, Clayton, Austin and Sophia Mastorakis, Buddy Mastorakis, Calleigh Furtado, and Ivy McClure. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Aimee (Hodgkins) Lamarche in 2014. Elizabeth will be remembered for her grace, creativity, and the deep love she held for her family.
