Elizabeth JoAnn Stough

Elizabeth JoAnn Stough, 92, of Summit Hills in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and formerly of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at Spartanburg Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth McCabe Irwin. A graduate of Robert Morris University, she devoted herself to her family as a loving wife, mother, and homemaker, first in Jeannette and later in Columbia.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Robert Allen Stough; her brother, Clarence Clark Irwin; and her sister, Janet Sue Irwin.

She is survived by her children, Robin Alan Stough (Elizabeth) of Irving, Texas, Ann Lynn Edwards of Modesto, California, Sue Beth Thorsen (Richard) of Wake Forest, North Carolina, Dr. Amy Jo Stough (Gary Bartley) of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, Mimi JoAnn Holman (Russell) of Houston, Texas, and Robert Allen Stough II of Goleta, California; her grandchildren, Nicholas Walter Brazelton (Amanda Joy), Amanda Sue Crook (Kolby), Russell Allen Holman, and Robert Matthew Holman; and her great-grandchildren, Ava Elizabeth Brazelton, Braxton Robert Crook, Lincoln Hawk Brazelton, Kora Beth Crook, Adalaide Ramona Crook, and Zachary Nicholas Brazelton. She is also survived by her brothers, Christopher Lee (Adrienne) Irwin of North Versailles, Pennsylvania, and Calvin Kay Irwin of Upland, California, along with many nieces and nephews.
