Elizabeth “Bette” Hohlt Pecore, 88, of Houston, Texas, passed away on February 28, 2026, following a sudden illness. Born on December 6, 1937, in Houston to Arthur and Marion Hohlt, Bette remained a lifelong resident of the city she loved.
She is remembered fondly by her three sons, Daniel Pecore, Douglas Pecore, and John Pecore, as well as her longtime partner, Howard Hilliard, and his sons, Hatch Hilliard and Loftin Hilliard.
Bette’s quiet strength, steady presence, and deep devotion to her family touched everyone who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will continue to live in the hearts of those she held dear.
