Elizabeth Faye McCartney

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Faye McCartney, age 96, will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 1 p.m. in Hunt Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Brock’s Cemetery in Greenfield, TN. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. McCartney was born in Greenfield, TN, on March 13, 1930, to the late Virgil Thomas and Dora Baker Doran. She passed away at Weakley Co. Nursing Home on March 15, 2026.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Rex McCartney; her sister, Nell Talley; and her great-grandchild, Thomas Blake Croom.

She is survived by one daughter, Melissa (Barry) Workman of Rutherford; two sons, Bruce (Vicky) McCartney of Greenfield and Thomas (Laura) McCartney of Greenfield; one sister, Louise Nanney of Jackson; one brother, Wesley Doran of Dresden; four grandchildren, Jackson Brice Leach, Jacob Thomas Workman, Andrew Martin (Jennifer) McCartney, and Valerie Dawn McCartney Pettit; three great-grandchildren, Kinsley McCartney, Aubrie Elizabeth Croom, and Madison Brooke Croom; and one great-great grandchild, Breezy Layne Pugh.
