Elizabeth Fae Holbrook, 81, of Lafayette, passed away on March 11, 2026, at IU Health Arnett Hospital.
Born on November 3, 1944, in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, to Joseph and Jewel (Bumbalow) Cagle, Fae graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1963. On September 25, 1968, she married Charles Mitchell Holbrook Sr. in Tulsa, and he survives her.
Fae worked as a nail technician, at Radian Research, owned a ceramics shop while living in Florida, and did interior painting. She found great joy in doing nails with her granddaughter and in all forms of crafts and sewing.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Holbrook of Lafayette, Indiana; two sons, Charles M. (Judy) Holbrook Jr. of Indianapolis and Daniel C. (Megan) Holbrook of Lafayette; a sister, Frances Gho of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and three grandchildren, Cameron (Stephanie) Holbrook, Travis (Beth) Holbrook, and Macyn Holbrook. She was preceded in death by her brother, Stan Cagle, and brother-in-law Joe Gho.
