Elizabeth Ellen Groh
May 13, 1959— March 7, 2026
Parker, CO
Elizabeth Ellen (Slaviero) Groh, 66, of Parker, Colorado, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Westminster, Colorado. Born on May 13, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the oldest child of the late Charles and Jean (Wheeler) Goerth. Lise spent her childhood with her two siblings in Evanston, Illinois, where the family home on Park Place later became a cherished memory for her own children.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola University of Chicago, majoring in Political Science. Though she initially considered following her father into the legal field, Lise ultimately pursued a career in sales, where she found lasting success over many decades. In the 1980s, she relocated to the Philadelphia suburbs, where her three daughters were born and raised. Her daughters were the center of her world. Even during the years she raised them as a single parent, Lise modeled a strong work ethic and fierce independence. With her background in political science, she remained deeply engaged with history and current affairs, often with a book in hand or an audiobook playing.
Lise will be remembered fondly by her family, longtime friends, and colleagues. She is survived by her daughters, Alexandra (Andrew) Cook of Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, Olivia Slaviero of Westminster, Colorado, and Bella Slaviero of West Chester, Pennsylvania; granddaughters Morgan Cook and Lucy Duckworth; sister Gretchen (James) Baxter; brother Stephen (Kimberly) Goerth; stepsons Ian, Austin, and Jordan Groh; and many nieces and nephews.
