Elizabeth Caruso ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Magner Funeral Home, Inc. - Norwalk on Mar. 17, 2026.Elizabeth "Betty" Caruso, 89, died on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Notre Dame Health and Rehabilitation Center in Norwalk.Born on March 8, 1937, in Norwalk, the daughter of the late Joseph and Adelaide (Brown) Carroll. She was also predeceased by her husband Patrick A. Caruso and their son Robert M. Caruso.Betty attended St. Mary's School in Norwalk, and Sacred Heart Academy in Stamford. She worked at Southern New England Telephone Company before becoming a computer programmer working for T-Bar in Wilton, CT and IBM in Danbury, CT. Upon her retirement from IBM, she began her real passion and opened Old and New Collectibles in Wilton, CT. She worked tirelessly but gave her great satisfaction.When not antiquing, she enjoyed traveling, cooking and entertaining her family.Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Patricia Iannazzo, granddaughter Rachel Iannazzo, sister Mary Sue Fusek and her husband Paul and many nieces and nephews.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Saturday, April 11, at St Philip Church, One Fr. Conlon Place, Norwalk.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Notre Dame Health and Rehabilitation Center at 76 West Rocks Road, Norwalk, CT 06851.The family would like to sincerely thank the workers at Notre Dame Health and Constellation Hospice for their care, love, and compassion toward Betty and her family.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
