Elizabeth Anne Riddle

Elizabeth Anne Riddle, 73, of the Dave Branch section of Grundy, Virginia, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Dickenson Community Hospital after an extended illness. Born in Ohio, she was the daughter of Grayson Riddle and Murvel Faye Stiltner Riddle Deel. A lifelong resident of Buchanan County, Anne was of the Old Regular Baptist faith and dedicated more than thirty years to the Buchanan County School System, serving in the schools at Hurley, Vansant, and Riverview.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Matney.

She is survived by her brothers, Steve Riddle and his wife Hazel of Grundy, Virginia, and Tommy Riddle and his wife Jinnavee of Big Rock, Virginia; nephews Cayden Riddle, Kolton Riddle, and Eli Horowitz; and niece Misty Horowitz. Those who knew her will remember Anne’s steadfast presence in her community and her many years of quiet service to the children of Buchanan County.
