Greer, SC
Elizabeth Anne (Hone) Linn, beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend, passed away on March 11, 2026, in Greer, South Carolina. Born in Flushing, New York, Beth was a beacon of kindness, humor, and love throughout her life.
Beth’s most treasured role was that of a loving, supportive, and nurturing mother to her children, Nancy, Bill, and John. She was a devoted presence in their lives, always finding time to show up—cheering from the sidelines, attending games, and celebrating every moment that mattered. Her love, encouragement, and steady presence created rich and lasting memories that will comfort them always.
As a grandmother, Beth took immense joy in the lives of her grandchildren, Matthew, Halli, Owen, and Harper. She cherished their accomplishments and delighted in sharing heartfelt stories and treasured photographs of them.
Beth devoted many years to quiet and faithful volunteerism in her church and community, whether folding church bulletins, helping at the food pantry, or ushering at the Greenville Theatre. Her generosity and willingness to serve touched many lives. She also deeply treasured the lifelong friendships that enriched her days, finding great happiness in shared memories, laughter, and enduring support.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herman Linn, her partner in life; her parents, William and Lucy Hone; and her sister, Audrey D’Amato. She leaves behind a family who will carry her love and spirit with them always.
