Elizabeth Anne Cutright, 74, of Toledo, Illinois, passed away at 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Care Center.
Born on March 23, 1950, at Mattoon Hospital in Mattoon, Illinois, Anne was the first child of George Leo Cutright, Sr. and Dorothy (McCandlish) Cutright. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1974 with a bachelor’s degree in education and returned in 1997 to earn a master’s degree in gerontology. She taught in local schools for several years before retiring after 25 years from the Acquisitions Department at Eastern Illinois University. She later served as a case manager for the Illinois Department on Aging.
Anne was a lifelong member of Cottonwood United Methodist Church in Toledo and belonged to the Toledo United Methodist Women and the Toledo Life Center. She volunteered for numerous charities and gave more than 25 years of service at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital. She is survived by her brother, George L. Cutright, Jr. of Joliet, her daughter Lori Sparks (Scott Shull) of Toledo, grandson Taylor Ring (Bayle) and great-grandchildren Charlie, Lincoln and Ava Ring of Brownstown. She was preceded in death by her parents and her youngest brother, Neil R. Cutright.
Anne was known for her bright spirit and outgoing personality. An avid reader and enthusiastic solver of Scrabble, crosswords and Sudoku, she loved playing cards, spending time with family and friends, and doting on her grandchildren and her two cats. She cherished her cousins, nieces and nephews and brought warmth to everyone she met.
