Elizabeth grew up in a hardworking family alongside her two brothers.She attended Padua Academy and graduated in 1958 as a member of the school's first graduating class. During her senior year, she appeared in a locally broadcast Catholic Television Guild program over WVUE Channel 12, marking an exciting end to her time with the school.After graduation, Elizabeth worked as a legal secretary for Judge A. James Gallo, where her organization and attention to detail served her well.On April 18, 1959, she married Henry Raymond Ganc at St. Anthony's Church in Wilmington. They were married for 55 years before Henry's passing in 2014. During their long partnership, he affectionately called her Maggie. In the years that followed, Elizabeth and Henry welcomed four children and made their home on Tigani Drive in Wilmington.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry "Hank" Ganc; and her brothers, Joseph and Dominic Rapuano.She leaves behind her children, Deborah Hotra (James Hotra), Christine Ball (Vance Ball), Nicholas Ganc, and Vincent Ganc, along with seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.A private celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held by her family.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
