Her father would later join them.In 1949, Elena married the love of her life, Tullio Iannazzi, in Arpino. After being married, the couple returned to the states choosing Detroit, Michigan, as the place to plant their roots and raise their family.Elena is the beloved mother of Anna (Ronald) Rea and the late Lucia (Anthony) Diemont.She is the cherished grandmother of Rossano (Ashley) Rea, Gia (the late Osmond) Akbar, Ellie (Kyle) Treff, and the late Quinn. She is the loving great-grandmother of Vivianna, Emma, Reese, Ryder, Naseem, James, Noah, Emilia, and the late Emma. Elena also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated to honor her life at Holy Name Catholic Church, 630 Harmon Street, Birmingham, Michigan, 48009, on Thursday, March 19, at 10am.
