March 30, 1930 March 7, 2026

Bedford, OH

Eleanor R. Goshco, née Roscher, passed away on March 7, 2026, joining her beloved husband Victor, the love of her life for 57 years, in heaven. Born in New York City on March 30, 1930, to Louis and Minna Roscher, she was the youngest of four siblings and grew up surrounded by her sister Millie, brother Lou, and sister Anna. Ellie was known for her boundless energy and adventurous spirit. As a young woman she played in the Fireman’s Band, performed for Mayor LaGuardia, spent summers riding horses on her cousins’ farm in Maryland, and enjoyed clamming, sports, dancing, and trips to Coney Island and the beach.

She and Victor raised their daughters, Vicki and Debbie, on Long Island before moving to Ohio in 1961. Ellie worked for more than thirty years as an office manager for a vascular surgeon while the family lived in Bedford. She found joy in shopping, playing pinochle and bingo, enjoying gin martinis and scratchers, traveling, cheering for the Cavs, visiting casinos, and attending her children’s and grandchildren’s games and activities. She especially cherished the annual summer East Coast vacations spent with her sister and extended family.

Eleanor is survived by her loving daughters, Vicki Salvi (Terry) and Debbie Goshco Wagner (David Shropshire); her grandchildren, Stacy Hendricks (Trey), Jennifer Kirk (Tom), Kelley Sullivan (Brandon), Mallory Salvi (Kevin Kumazec), Avey Wagner, and Eric Wagner; and her great-grandchildren, Cielo Lopez, Austin Hendricks, Dustin Hendricks, Olivia Kirk, and Ava Kirk. She is also remembered fondly as Grandma “G” to the Sobiech, Cassaro, Riley, Deblock, Steve Salvi, and Todd Salvi families, as well as by her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Victor, her siblings Louis Roscher Jr., Anna Roscher, and Mildred Wagner (Warren), and several other dear relatives. Ellie’s warmth, sparkle, and love touched everyone who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
