Eleanor Martinez

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Eleanor Martinez of Council Bluffs, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Eleanor left this world on March 7, 2026 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Sausedo and Glafira Sausedo; her daughter Lilly; and her siblings, Elvira Morrissey, Louise Salazar, Beatrice Sausedo, Dolores Mojica, Natalie Tobias, Jackie Tobias, Elizabeth Leepy, Kathleen Maldonado, Fred, Joseph, Vincent and Jesse.

She is survived by: her daughter Rachel (Mike); her grandchildren, Jenny, Andrea, Chad and Danny; and her sister Vicky Uvina. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home & Crematory (545 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, as she took immense joy in every baby or child she met.
