Eleanor Ann Blanchard

Eleanor Ann Blanchard of Broussard, Louisiana, passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin “Whitey” Blanchard; her children, Michelle and Steven Blanchard; her parents, Mayo Duhon and Gertrude Bernard Duhon; and her sister, Madelyn Patin, wife of the late Harry.

She is survived by her children, Chad Blanchard, husband of the late Beth Ann, and Bridget Blanchard; her grandchildren, Isabel (Josh), Dutchess (Austin), Jolee (Eric), Blair, Lauren (Toby), and Drake (Madison); her great-grandchildren, Rosealei, Gracelyn, Collin, Jayce (Destiny), McKenzie, Alayah, Cody, Hadley, Vera, Malee, Sunni, Kaiden, Kacen, and Alyssa; her great-great-grandchildren, Gracelyn and Laiklyn; and her sisters, Yvonne Gates, widow of the late Bill, and Marguerite Gomez, widow of the late James.

Throughout her long life, Eleanor remained deeply connected to her large and loving family, finding joy in the generations that surrounded her. She will be remembered with great affection by all who knew her.
