Eleanor A. Zidak, 95, of Loyalhanna, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Concordia at Bethlen. Born on April 13, 1930, in Latrobe, she was the daughter of the late Michael P. Zidak Sr. and Mary E. (Frenchik) Zidak.

A lifelong and devoted member of St. Rose Church, Eleanor served as a lector and Eucharistic minister and sang with the funeral choir. She was also an active member of the St. Rose Rosary Altar Christian Mothers. Before her retirement, she owned and operated the Eleanor Zidak Beauty Salon, where her warmth and skill touched many in the community.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas A. “Tommy” Zidak and Michael P. Zidak Jr., and one sister, Mabel J. Clark. Eleanor is survived by her nephew, Richard Clark Jr., and his wife, Jan, of Latrobe; great-nieces, Nikki Atkinson and Megan McCasland (Brent); great-great-nieces and nephew, Olivia Rose Atkinson, Evan Atkinson, Ava McCasland, and Isla McCasland; and her beloved four-legged companion, Allie.

Her family extends deep gratitude to the caring staff at Concordia at Bethlen, especially Krystal and the 300 wing, for the compassionate support they provided her.
