Eldridge Harrison Clark

Eldridge Harrison Clark, 87, of Troy, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Forrest Oakes Healthcare in Albemarle.A funeral service, with military rites, will be held Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Troy, officiated by Pastor Rodney Holmes and Pastor Rupert Medford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.Born April 30, 1938, in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Bernard and Ava Cagle Clark. Eldridge lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a love for the outdoors. He served his country honorably in the United States Army, where he spent two years stationed in Germany. Eldridge found joy in hunting and master gardening.He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth "Betty Jane" Hall (Robert) of Troy; brothers, Arnold Clark of Troy, Chester Clark of Denton, and Huey Clark of Candor; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Coble Clark.Memorials may be made to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 819 Mt.
