Elden Miles ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Cherokee Memorial Park & Funeral Home on Mar. 5, 2026.Elden Floyd Miles, a man of unwavering faith, infectious laughter, and deep devotion to his family, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, in Stockton, California, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 83 years old.Born on August 28, 1942, in Rogers, Arkansas, Elden moved to California as a young man and graduated from Edison High School in 1960. On August 24, 1965, he married the love of his life, Jacqueline. Together, they built a beautiful life defined by a 60-year partnership of love and mutual respect.Elden was a man of many talents and a tireless work ethic. He began his career in the grocery business with Alpha Beta, eventually rising to Sundry Manager. After time with the Rainbow Bread Company, he discovered his true calling while working as an aerospace painter at the Stockton Airport. His precision and skill led him to become a successful sole proprietor in the painting business. Even after retirement, Elden's hands were rarely still; he took great pride in keeping his own home and the homes of his family members perfectly maintained.Above all, Elden was a man of God. He lived his life as a testament to his faith, never hesitating to share the Gospel with others. His greatest wish was for his family to walk with the Lord, ensuring they would one day be reunited in Heaven.To know Elden was to laugh. He was famously cheerful, always ready with a joke or a witty remark to brighten the darkest room. His infectious laugh was a gift to everyone around him, and his presence provided a sense of warmth and reliability that his family will forever cherish.Elden was preceded in death by his parents, Loy Floyd and Frances Miles; his brothers, James, Bobby, and his twin, Elmo Miles; and his sisters, Darlene Riley and Eileen Hawkins.His legacy lives on through his loving wife, Jacqueline Miles; his sons, Rick (Shayne) Miles and Mark (Michele) Miles; his six grandchildren, Michael (Meghan), Matthew, Ryan, Bradley (Olivia), Kayla, and Mallorie (Talon); and his four great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Eleanor, Nolan, and Kaden. He is also survived by his sisters, Reba Veltri and Linda Shelton, along with a host of friends and extended family.While he will be profoundly missed, his family takes great comfort in knowing he is finally at peace with his Savior.MEMORIAL SERVICEMemorial service to be held, Friday, March 20, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., at The Home Church, at 11451 West Lane in Lodi.Cherokee Memorial is honored to serve the Miles family.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
