Elana Yedrysek

Elana "Lonnie" Yedrysek, 79, of Hamden, died peacefully on March 10, 2026 at Whitney Rehabilitation Center. Born in Preston, Connecticut on April 24, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Valusek.

Lonnie spent 36 years as a supervisor at the Southern New England Telephone Company, where she formed a deep and enduring friendship with Theresa "Terry" Vollero. After retiring, Terry and her niece Jennifer Petrillo provided loving care for Lonnie. Terry passed away in February, after which Jennifer continued to care for her with devotion until the end.

Lonnie will be remembered for her steadfast spirit and the cherished bonds she shared with those closest to her. She is survived by her dear friend Jennifer Petrillo and the many relatives and friends whose lives she touched.
