Elaine O'Bryan Trahan

Elaine O'Bryan Trahan, 84, of Abbeville, Louisiana, passed away on March 9, 2026, at The Calcutta House of Lafayette. Born on September 17, 1941, in Abbeville, she remained a lifelong resident of the town, where she devoted herself to her family and community with quiet strength and genuine care.

A longtime member of Charity Baptist Church, Elaine lived out her faith through kindness and service to others. She worked for many years at the Vermilion Parish Health Unit, where her compassion and dedication earned the respect of those she served.

She is survived by her son, Byron K. Trahan, and his wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Katie Trahan, Amber Trahan, Jessica Cash, Josh Isley, and Sarah Isley; great-grandchildren, Adalynn Cash and Elaina Cash; and her sister, Carlene Lemaire. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Lee Trahan; her father, Marshall O’Bryan; her mother, Agnes Rogers O’Bryan; her brother, Daniel O’Bryan; and her sister, Peggy Gayneaux. She was laid to rest beside her husband at Graceland Cemetery.
