She was born March 29, 1949, in Rochester, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late William & Helen (Dagen) Bostic. She was a 1967 graduate of Rochester High School in Rochester, Pennsylvania. Elaine was united in marriage on October 5, 1968, to Charles Lee "Chuck" Lindsey, who preceded her in death on March 29, 2003.Elaine worked in the floral business for many years and worked for Kay-Tee Florist in Katy, TX for several years, and after moving to Jefferson City, she worked for Busch's Florist, River City Florist, and the Gerbes Floral Department.Elaine was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved working with flowers, traveling, antiquing and shopping. Most of all she loved spending time with family and she loved her grandchildren "to the moon and back" which were always her exact words to them.Elaine is survived by her son: Brian Lindsey (wife Sue); her daughter: Jennifer Etzel (husband Kevin); sister: Margaret Erdmann (husband Bob); four grandchildren: Brandon Matthews (wife Kadarenna), Hannah Hamler (husband Chad), Chaz Etzel & Aaron Etzel; one great-granddaughter: Myla Jo Matthews; and a second great-grandchild on the way very soon.Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her brother: Bill Bostic.Friends & Family will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, with a Celebration of Life following at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
