Elaine J. Richmond

Elaine J. Richmond, 90, of Wever, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 3:40 a.m. at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.She was born on Feb. 6, 1936 in Sioux City, to Henry and June Martin Groves. Elaine married Rick Richmond and he preceded her in death. While living in Cedar Rapids, she was the manager of the Roosevelt Hotel. She also worked at the YMCA in Burlington. Elaine enjoyed playing cards, reading, doing crosswords and puzzles. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.Survivors include three daughters, Deanna (Jeff) Thompson and Kim Knotts of Wever and Debbie (Mark) Jones all of Bulington and one son, Henry Hoppe of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Jackie, a grandson, Drake Knotts and her daughter-in-law, Deb Hoppe.Cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.
