Elaine Catharine Tureaud

Elaine Catharine Tureaud, 95, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. Born in Racine, Wisconsin on May 2, 1930, she moved to New Jersey and married William Bratsch in 1952. The couple had two children, Kathy and Mark, who grew up in Marlboro. Elaine and William later divorced. In 1981 she married Jules Tureaud, and they made their home in Tabernacle until his death in 2005.

Elaine devoted much of her life to helping others. She worked with disabled children, served for many years as cook and housekeeper at St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, volunteered at Riverview Medical Center, taught CCD classes, and sang as a cantor at weddings and funerals.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Cycak, and her son, Mark Bratsch; her grandson Christopher Cycak and his wife Elizabeth, and their sons Charlie and Walter; her granddaughter Jennifer and her husband Ryan Mich; and her grandson Matthew Bratsch.
