Elaine C. Chrisley

Stephens City, VA

Elaine C. Chrisley, 66, of Stephens City, Virginia, passed away comfortably on March 10, 2026. Born on October 24, 1959, in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Gladys Cook and Louis T. Cook, Sr.

Elaine lived a life defined by her unwavering dedication to caring for others and her remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel truly loved. She built an extraordinary career in service to her community, serving as a police-paramedic and police dispatcher while volunteering with Fairfax Fire & Rescue. She later pursued her formal nursing education, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Shenandoah University with an Associate of Science in Nursing in December 1998. She received her Registered Nurse designation from the Board of Nursing in January 1999 and was inducted into the Shenandoah University Honor Society of Nursing that same year. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Shenandoah University in May 2000, again graduating Magna Cum Laude. Throughout her life, Elaine took care of others and all those she loved, and she was the person family and friends knew they could call with any medical question.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Elaine had a vibrant spirit and a love for life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed visiting amusement parks, decorating her home, and working on crafts. She had an eye for beauty and loved pretty clothes, shoes, and accessories. Elaine will forever be remembered for her deep compassion toward others, her wonderful sense of humor, and her uncanny ability to make you feel special. Those who knew her were better for it.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Retired CWO4 Marvin P. Chrisley; son, Derek Chrisley; stepmother, Karen Cook; brother, Louis T. Cook, Jr. (Peggy); sister, Starla Stoesser; stepsister, Michelle Struyk (Robin); nephews, Darren Cook, Mark Stoesser, Jr., Dominic Stoesser and Thomas Struyk; nieces, Danielle Cook and Claire Struyk; and great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins, other extended family and dear friends.
