Edwin L. Jackson, 74, of Cadiz, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio, on September 14, 1951, to the late Edwin C. and Marjorie "Marj" Balderson Jackson.Ed was previously a youth minister at the Cadiz First Church of Christ. He worked in the warehouse at Consol Energy for many years. He was the Director of JTPA, and taught night classes to help people earn their GEDs. He worked for the county, where he retired from ODFJS. He served as a Dog Warden following his retirement. Ed was also active in local sports. He spent many years coaching girls' softball and officiating high school basketball games as a referee. In his free time, he loved watching sports, especially rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers and The Ohio State University. He was an avid golfer and bowler and proudly earned many 300 rings throughout his bowling career.Ed is survived by his son, Bart (Danielle) Jackson; granddaughter, Annie; brother, John (Lorrie) Jackson; niece, Emily Jackson; his Aunt Louise, Uncle John and Aunt Nancy; as well as many cousins and friends.Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home in Cadiz. Additional visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 p.m. with Paul Giffin officiating at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home in Cadiz.
