Edwin "Earl" Kaminski

Edwin “Earl” Kaminski passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, at the age of 83. He was a devoted husband of 39 years to his beloved wife, Mary Kaminski, née Allgire. Earl was the loving father of Sarah (Tim) O’Hara, Nicole (Richard Campbell) Kaminski, Gregory Kaminski, Christopher Kaminski, and the late Michael Kaminski.

Born and raised in Lemont, Illinois, Earl and Mary lived in downtown Chicago for more than thirty years before settling in Hinsdale. A mechanical engineer by training, he founded and led a manufacturing company specializing in aerospace, military, and government contracts. He remained deeply passionate about his work and never retired. One of his greatest joys was spending time at the family home in Galena, Illinois, where he loved gathering with family and friends, golfing, and enjoying the quiet outdoors.

Earl is survived by his dear sisters, Diane (the late John) Taskay and Claire (the late Paul) Cimino, his seven grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Estelle Kaminski, and his brother, Roger Kaminski. He will be remembered as a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose quiet strength and love for his family left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
