Edwin H Whitney Jr

Edwin H. Whitney Jr., age 70, of North East, passed away on March 12, 2026, at home surrounded by his family. Born on February 3, 1956, to the late Edwin H. Whitney Sr. and Eleanor J. (Bartlebaugh) Whitney, he spent his life working the land and caring for his community. He was the owner and operator of Ed’s Tree Service and found deep satisfaction working on Whitney Farms and Dougan Farms in Harborcreek.

Edwin cherished time spent with his family, his beloved chihuahua dogs, and the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, a loyal Buffalo Bills fan, and enjoyed watching westerns. His quiet strength and steady presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Beverly A. Cole, infant siblings Garth, Debbie, and Eleanor, and his grandson Jayden. Edwin is survived by his wife Nancy (Blankenship) Whitney; his children John Whitney (Michelle), Mary Whitney, Edwin Whitney (Tiffany), Kristin Lupole (Joseph), Brandis Whitney (Brendon), and Jerrico Whitney; thirteen grandchildren, Gabriel, John, Samantha, Juliana, Vanessa, Ryan, Joshua, Dimitri, Nathan, Charlotte, Maylee, Abigail, and John Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Hudson and Elliot.
