Edward Walter Nordloh, age 89, of Erlanger, KY passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026, after a long battle with Parkinson Disease. He was born on November 21, 1936, to the late Walter and Germaine (nee Ziegler) Nordloh. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janie Nordloh (nee Hengehold) and his brother, Walter Nordloh. Ed is survived by his loving wife, Georgette Nordloh (nee O’Connor); children, Diane Glueck (Jack), Michael Nordloh (Sharon) and Jeffrey Nordloh (Sharon); siblings, Mary Jo Hehman (Ken), and Peg Owens; sister-in-laws, Joan Nordloh and Mary Ann Isler (John); grandchildren, Hanna Fleig, Jacob Toebben, Zachary Toebben, Lauren Ballard, Kelsey Lambert and Justin Nordloh; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Ed was a member of St. Pius Parish; he bravely served our country overseas during the Cold War as a member of the United States Army, followed by four years in the Army Reserve. He worked at GE in Reading, OH, followed by a long career at Western-Southern Life Insurance as an Underwriter and a Business Operations Analyst in Cincinnati. While working at W & S, Ed earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Villa Madonna College, currently Thomas More University. Throughout his life, Ed used his time and talents at St. Henry Church as chairman of annual festivals, worked on maintenance projects, and supported a Vietnamese refugee family in adjusting to American life; volunteered with Housing Opportunities of NKY (HONK); Erlanger-Elsmere United Christian Ministries (EEUM); United Christian Volunteers (UCV) in Elsmere; and organized a Junior Achievement project sponsored by W & S.
Visitation will be held at Middendorf Funeral Home in Ft. Wright, on Friday, March 20,2026, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at St. Pius X Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 AM, with a eulogy starting promptly at 9:50 AM. Following Mass the burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, in Ft. Mitchell.
