Edward Connelly ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Aspen Mortuaries - Arvada on Mar. 9, 2026.In Loving Memory ofEdward "Eddie" William ConnellyNovember 27, 1967 – February 24, 2026Eddie was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on November 27, 1967, to Peg and Ed Connelly. He was the second of three children, with an older sister, Shannon (Connelly) Petersen, and a younger sister, Kathleen (Connelly) Huss. Eddie spent most of his life in the Arvada/Denver area, which he proudly called home.He attended Peck Elementary School and Arvada Junior High before graduating from Arvada High School in 1987.Following high school, Eddie dedicated much of his career to working in healthcare, primarily in hospital settings where he served as a technician supporting patient care teams. He spent many years at Lutheran Medical Center, where he formed friendships that lasted throughout his life. During that time, he even had special experience of working alongside his mom, Peg, for several years. Eddie later worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Broomfield and also spent time working part-time at North Suburban Medical Center. No matter where he worked, Eddie had a gift for turning coworkers into lifelong friends through his friendly disposition, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others.Anyone who knew Eddie knew he always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone he met. He was the kind of person who, once he called you a friend, you were a friend for life. He loved his family, friends and the Broncos with all his heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. It is hard to say goodbye, and it still does not feel real that he is gone. His love for his family and friends will be his lasting legacy, and we take comfort in knowing that God has prepared a beautiful place for him where he will be reunited with loved ones who went before him.Eddie is survived by his father, Edward Connelly; his sister Kathleen (Brian) Huss; and many nieces and nephews, as well as a great-niece and great-nephew.Services will be held at:Shrine of St. Anne's, 7555 Grant Pl, Arvada, CO 80002Friday, March 20, 2026Time: 11am mtnReception immediately following after mass in the McCormick Center at the church In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to https://foothillsanimalshelter.org/To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
