Edward Jecker ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Heritage Funeral & Cremation Service on Mar. 6, 2026.It is with heavy hearts that the Jecker Family announces the passing of Edward Vernon Jecker Jr., AKA "Chief", on Sunday March 1st 2026. He passed peacefully in the Advent Hospital in Palm Coast, Florida Born in Louisville Kentucky on December 9, 1933. Edward was a naval veteran of 22 years and fought in the Korean War who served with honor. He was a devoted father, grandfather and friend. His love of knowledge was present in all he accomplished and never shied away from a teaching moment. His many talents and skills were numerous which included; surveying, carpentry, architecture, mechanic navigation, postal worker, VA tradesman and much more. His hobbies were fishing, traveling, reading and Stamp and coin collecting. His willingness to help out was limitless, always ready to help however he could. His sense of humor was infectious and enjoyable. We will miss The Chief, dad, granddad. He is survived by his seven children and ten grandchildren: Robert, Michael, Thomas, Gregory, Regina, Richard, David. Ivan, Kimberly, Jessica, Kate, Graham, Andrew, Alyssa, Emma, Thai and Christine. Chief Jecker will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery next to his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary Elizabeth Jecker. Even though he will be sorely missed, We celebrate his life knowing that he is with God and laying next to his beloved wife, both of Whom he loved wholeheartedly.Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service of Bunnell, Florida assisted the family with arrangements.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
