Edward Rives Myrick

Edward Rives Myrick, age 78, of Warfield, VA, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026.

A lifelong resident of Brunswick County, he was the son of the late John Hawthorne and Mary Procter Gee Myrick. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John F. Myrick.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia P. Myrick; his children, Charles Myrick (Kelly), Wanda Johnson (Tommy), James Elmore (Laurie), Michael Elmore (Robin), and Alan Elmore (Jennifer); grandchildren, Heather Chisholm (Michael), Amanda Strukl (Joseph), Jami Temple (Mitchell), Morgan Taylor (Joshua), Tara Elmore, Elise Elmore, Grace Elmore, and Emma Myrick; great-grandchildren, Emmerson Temple, Eleanor Strukl, Kaiden Temple, Joseph Strukl, and Lochlan Taylor; sister-in-law, Carolyn Myrick; nephews, John W. Myrick (Jennifer) and Robert G. Myrick; great-nephews, John D. Myrick and Andrew P. Myrick.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2026 at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, VA, followed by interment at the Myrick Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
