Edward Pio Flynt

Edward Pio Flynt was born on March 8, 2026, in South Bend, Indiana, to Joshua Edward and Mary Noreen (Ladewski) Flynt. He entered this world at 2:44 p.m., weighing 5 pounds 12 ounces and measuring 19 inches long. Edward lived for 99 minutes, passing peacefully at 4:23 p.m. in the arms of his parents as a result of bilateral renal agenesis.

Although his time with his family was brief, it was more than they had expected, and they cherished every moment. Edward received the sacraments of baptism and confirmation, and many family members were able to meet him, hold him, and tell him how deeply he was loved. He will forever remain a part of their family.

He is survived by his loving parents, Joshua and Mary; his siblings, Norah and Paul; his paternal grandparents, Donald and Gina Flynt of Ballston Lake, New York; his maternal grandparents, Patrick and Rosemary Ladewski of New Carlisle, Indiana; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by nurses Lauren and Nicole from the Journey Through Bereavement team at Beacon Memorial Hospital, Dr. Matt from the Center for Hospice Care, and the many family members, friends, and colleagues who offered prayers and support throughout Mary’s pregnancy.
