He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Mobley Woodward, Sr. and Honoria Maybin Woodward; his brother Dr. John Woodward; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Wright and Daniel Iseman.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia Iseman Woodward; his children, Martha Jennings (Jason) of Holly Springs, NC and Rev. Joe Woodward (Sarah) of Augusta, GA; his grandsons, Jackson Jennings, Maxwell Jennings, Benjamin Woodward and Theodore Woodward; his sisters, Susan Wright (Jim) of Lexington, SC and Nancy Twiford (Borton) of Isle; his siblings-in-law, Deborah Molnar (Lawrence) and Michael Iseman (Deborah); and his siblings' children, Kristin, Mike, Michael, Patrick and Tom. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (3909 Forest Dr, Columbia, SC 29204). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. He was passionate about teaching his family and others about the Lord, often serving as a Sunday School leader and hosting Bible studies over the years, even switching to Zoom for more than a year during COVID.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Christ Central Ministries in Columbia, SC.
