Edward Lewis Schoepf, Jr., age 88, of Stella, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on March 11, 2026. Born on November 17, 1937, in Waterbury, Connecticut, Ed lived a full and meaningful life marked by dedication to his family, his work, and his community.
A longtime member of Mountain Grove Lutheran Church in Mountain Grove, Pennsylvania, and more recently a member of Midway Methodist Church in Stella, Ed worked for many years as a chemical engineer. He was known for his strong work ethic, kindness, and integrity, and he served his community in many capacities throughout his life. He was also a devoted Mason for 65 years, earning his 32nd degree and remaining active and proud of his Masonic journey.
Ed enjoyed traveling, telling stories, and keeping up the annual tradition of chocolate bunny hunting with his grandchildren. Above all, he cherished the time spent with family and friends. During his battle with cancer over the past year, his children remained his constant companions and support.
He is survived by his son, Matthew Harvey Schoepf (Ann); grandchildren Zachery Schoepf (Karah), Christian Van Dyke, Caroline Zambrana, Matthew Powell-Schoepf, and Zachary Van Dyke; and great-grandchildren Peyton, Jason, Sophia, Millie, and Finley.
