Edward Halvorsen

Edward Halvorsen, 82, of Hobe Sound, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on March 12, 2026. Born on May 6, 1943, he lived a full life shaped by hard work, steadfast friendship, and a quiet appreciation for the simple pleasures that brought him happiness.

He served his country in the United States Navy as an air traffic controller, then spent many years as a truck driver, a career that suited his independent spirit and strong sense of dedication. In his free time, Edward found joy in fishing and listening to music. He was known for his easy sense of humor, his wealth of life experiences, and his gift for storytelling, qualities that drew people to him and left him with friends wherever he went.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife. Edward is survived by his children, Holly Hommel, Edward Halvorsen Jr., and Jason Halvorsen; his sister, Ruth Greubel; and his grandchildren, along with many dear friends and loved ones who will carry his memory with fondness.
