Kettering, OH
Edward E. Steinberger, born on September 27, 1956, in Washington, D.C., passed away on March 6, 2026. He lived a full and memorable life shaped by his dedication to family, a long and steady career, and a quiet passion for the outdoors.
Raised in a military family as the son of Charles and Mary Jane Steinberger, Edward moved frequently during his childhood and attended schools across the country. He graduated from Fairborn Baker High School before enlisting in the United States Air Force, where he served his country with the same sense of duty that would later define his working years. For three decades, he worked at AGC Automobile, retiring after a career marked by reliability, diligence, and quiet strength.
Edward found deep satisfaction in simple pleasures. He loved fishing and spending time in nature, remained a loyal Cincinnati Bengals fan, and enjoyed Reese cups, Pepsi, and classic television shows such as The Waltons and Matlock. Above all, he cherished his family and the steady companionship of those closest to him.
He is survived by his loving life partner, Debra R. Steinberger; his daughter, Lea S. (Josh) Moody; his son, Thomas E. (Kayla) Steinberger; and his beloved grandchildren, Leni Jo Steinberger and Cayleb Moody. He is also survived by his sister, Kate (Larry) Sites, his brother, Randy Steinberger, and many cherished nieces and nephews who will carry warm memories of him.
