Born on January 21, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Edward and Alma DiTolla.Ed attended Port Richmond High School. He has a distinguished career as a typesetter, dedicating over 30 years of his life to the New York Post.Above all, Ed was a family man. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Eileen DiTolla nee Eckett, a partnership that stood as a testament to unwavering love and mutual respect. Together, they raised a family that included their children, Edward W. DiTolla (Theresa), the late Kevin Michael DiTolla, Sr., and Debra Lynn Campagnola (Joseph). Ed's legacy continues through his seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride. Ed's twin sister, Marjorie Gagliardo (Jerry), shared not only a birthday with him but also a lifetime of memories and an unbreakable bond.Ed was an avid hunter and fisherman, pursuits that allowed him to appreciate the beauty of the world and the simple pleasures it offered. His membership with the Square Circle Sportsmen was more than a hobby; it was a community where he forged lasting friendships and shared his passion for the outdoors.Family gatherings were the highlight of Ed's life. He reveled in the laughter, stories, and love that filled the room when his loved ones were together. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren, in particular, were the light of his life. He cherished every moment spent with them, imparting wisdom and creating memories that will be treasured forever.Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, on Monday, March 16, 2026, at The Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Rt 73 South, Marlton, NJ 08053. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am, at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Berlin Cemetery in Berlin, NJ.In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.orgTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
