Edward David Peters

Edward David Peters, born on November 18, 1955, in Fayette County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, in Randolph County, North Carolina, at the age of 70. He spent his youth and early years in South Bend, Indiana.

Eddie was a devoted follower of Jesus who embraced life with remarkable enthusiasm. He loved motorcycles, German Shepherds, kayaking, and guns, and he approached every adventure with a fearless spirit that never let common sense stand in the way of a good time. Warm and outgoing, he never met a stranger and offered generous affection to everyone he encountered. His favorite phrase, “I’ve never been happier than I am right now,” captured his ability to find joy in the present moment.

Above all, Eddie was most proud of his children and grandchildren, as well as his service in the United States Air Force. He later worked as a skilled machinist, though he always approached his craft with the belief that one should work to live rather than live to work.

Edward was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Wrenn Robins, and his father, James Lee Peters. He is survived by his mother, Marguerite Peters (Pepin), his daughter Amy Bell, his son Joseph Peters, his grandchildren Michael and Rhylan Peters, his sister Cass Peters, and his brother Sean Peters. He will be remembered fondly and missed deeply by all who knew him.
